Serving on a committee allows you to meet fellow BPW members, network, learn more about BPW and gain experience working as a team.  Getting involved will get you connected.  When everybody pitches in, no one person is left doing all the work and it's also a lot of fun!

If you have a question, please email or call the committee chair and introduce yourself. The chair will provide you with the time and place of the next committee meeting. If you're unable to contact the committee chair or just have a general question, you can also send an email to the Membership Committee and you'll receive a response.


PROGRAM COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: Identifies presenters and organizes programs that meet Bozeman BPW's objectives and member desires. Selects speakers and organizes programs that meet Bozeman BPW's objectives and member preferences for the BPW Luncheon meetings.

HONORS COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: Manages the publicity and application process, chooses and awards winners for Woman of Achievement, Young Careerist and Employer of the Year and plans annual Honors Program each spring.

LEGISLATION COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: Carries out legislative programs adopted by Bozeman BPW; educates the membership about local, state and national issues including Equal Pay Day.

MEMBERSHIP & NETWORKING SOCIAL COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: Promotes, expands, retains and orients the membership. Puts on monthly social events for member networking.

 BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL WOMEN CELEBRATION COMMITTEE
PURPOSE:  Held during the third week in October, this event celebrates the achievements of business and professional women. Committee plans the event and obtains business sponsors for the year ahead.

 SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
PURPOSE:  Manages the publicity and application process, chooses and awards an educational scholarship for career advancement to a non-traditional aged woman to attend Montana State University or an accredited certificate program at a school or training facility within Montana.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

PURPOSE: Prepares and monitors budget, records all transactions in QuickBooks, picks up mail, writes checks, deposits funds, greets and checks-in members and guests in at program luncheons.

PURPOSE:  In charge of all print, digital or broadcast communications to the BPW membership, including e-Newsletter, website, email communications, mailings and social media.    
                     
Newsletter Development: Publishes/Edits monthly Bozeman BPW e-Newsletter for Members.

Distributes emails to members about special events and notifies Bozeman Daily Chronicle and other media about our upcoming events. Coordinates with the caterer and Comfort Inn the number of lunch reservations.
