Penny Walker Wins Highest Membership
Award from Montana BPW

Penny Walker has been named the 1999 Member of the Year for the Montana Business and Professional Women (BPW). Walker is a member of the Bozeman branch of BPW. She was awarded this honor last weekend at the BPW State Convention in Great Falls.
"I'm so honored to receive this award," Walker said recently. "I believe whole-heartedly that BPW is the best professional development organization around and am delighted to be apart of such an engaged and vibrant group of women."
For the past two years, Walker has served as Vice President for Membership and during this time has personally recruited 15 new members for Bozeman BPW, which automatically provides these women with membership in the state and national BPW organizations. Bozeman BPW is the largest BPW organization in all of Montana, with 90 members. Walker's responsibilities as Vice President for Membership have included organizing numerous New Member Orientations and providing general membership information to all members. Walker has also been active in other areas and is an active member of the Bozeman organization's Fund Raising Committee; she served on the organizational team for the BPW Western Region Leadership Conference held in Bozeman (Sept 1998); and in addition, she organized the program last fall for National Business Women's Week, an annual celebration held each year during the third week of October.
Walker works as a Patient Account Manager at Bridger Orthopedics and also as an Independent Beauty Consultant for May Kay Cosmetics. She offers a professional development program on "Presenting a Professional Image," which she has done for Bozeman BPW and other professional organizations. Walker will present the program next Monday, June 21 at 7 p.m. at the Mary Kay Training Center (7600 Shed Horn Drive).
