BPW TO HONOR WOMAN OF THE YEAR AND YOUNG CAREERIST AWARD WINNERS, WEDS, FEB. 24

Bozeman Business and Professional Women (BPW) will announce the 1999 Woman of the Year and Young Careerist Award winners on Wednesday, Feb. 24 from Noon to 1 p.m. at Zajdel's Restaurant in the Elks Club.

These prestigious awards honor two women at different stages in their professional lives. The "Woman of Achievement" award is presented to a distinguished woman who has advanced women's interests throughout her working life and has shown dedication to the Gallatin Valley community. The "Young Careerist" award recognizes a woman between the ages of 21 and 35 who is seen as a "rising star," with notable career achievements and future ambitions.

The 1999 Woman of Achievement candidates are:
    Paula Butterfield, superintendent of Bozeman Public Schools
    Renee Harris, director, Gallatin Valley Food Bank
    Ris Higgins, business owner, The Solutions Group
    Sue Leigland, business owner, Montana Travel

The 1999 Young Careerist Candidates are:
    Alicia Bradshaw, field director for Senator Max Baucus
    Debra A. Gill, executive director, Bozeman Deaconess Foundation for Gifting
