Campaign School for Women Jan. 28-29, 2000 in Bozeman

On Jan. 28 and 29, the Montana Business and Professional Women's (BPW) state organization will sponsor "Run, Jane, Run! A Candidates' School for Women" at the Holiday Inn in Bozeman. The non-partisan campaign workshop begins Friday evening and continues all day Saturday. Registration is $65 and is open to women interested in running for office at the local, county or state levels or for those simply interested in working on others' campaigns. Registration deadline is Jan. 24.

Speakers will include: Emily Swanson, Cindy Younkin, Marcia Youngman, Joyce Schmidt, Regina Larson, Jennifer Smith Mitchell, Mignon Waterman, Tootie Welker, Dorothy Bradley, Carol Williams, Beverly Barnhart, Deb Halliday, and Louise Bruce.

Presentation topics will include:

organizing a campaign
choosing a theme
conducting a self-assessment
fund raising
working with volunteers
working with the press
