Wednesday, August 20th Luncheon at the Even Hotel Meeting Room located at 406 Belgrade Blvd, Belgrade, MT 59714 11:30 am lunch and networking, noon presentation "Planning for End of Life Care" by Bailey Krause, Funeral Director and Assistant Manager. Nobody wants to think about death. Especially not their own or their loved ones. However, it's truly important to think about and discuss end of life care with your family. Oftentimes, funeral planning is done during a time of great grief and stress, but thinking about these things ahead of time can alleviate some of that for yourself and your family.
I grew up in a small town north of Green Bay, WI. When I was 15 years old, I experienced my first death when a friend passed away. Awed by what the funeral director did in providing guidance and comfort during that time, I decided I, too, would one day be that for other families.
Following graduation from the University of Minnesota, I worked as a funeral director at a large funeral home in Milwaukee, WI. Looking for a change of pace and honoring my (now) husband's wishes of getting back to Montana, we moved to Bozeman in 2022. We now both work as funeral directors at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. In my free time, I love to be outdoors whether it's running, hiking, fishing, hunting, or exploring our national parks.
November 19th Luncheon 11:30 am - 1 pm

TOPIC
Understanding Neurodiversity in the Workplace
Neurodiversity refers to the natural variations in how human brains function, including differences in attention, learning, mood, and sensory processing. Conditions like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others are not deficits, but different ways of experiencing and interacting with the world. In the workplace, recognizing and embracing neurodiversity fosters inclusion, innovation, and psychological safety. However, when these differences are misunderstood or unsupported, it can lead to chronic stress, especially for neurodivergent individuals who may feel pressure to mask their traits or conform to neurotypical norms. Acceptance and awareness are key—not only to creating equitable environments but to improving the well-being and performance of all employees.
After an educational presentation, a guided, simple somatic practice to help reduce stress will be offered. Somatic practices support nervous system regulation, helping us respond to stress with greater calm and clarity—something that benefits everyone, regardless of neurotype. You're warmly invited to join us for a thoughtful conversation about neurodiversity, the power of inclusion, and simple ways to support yourself in meeting stress with greater ease and resilience.
