TOPIC
Understanding Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Neurodiversity refers to the natural variations in how human brains function, including differences in attention, learning, mood, and sensory processing. Conditions like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others are not deficits, but different ways of experiencing and interacting with the world. In the workplace, recognizing and embracing neurodiversity fosters inclusion, innovation, and psychological safety. However, when these differences are misunderstood or unsupported, it can lead to chronic stress, especially for neurodivergent individuals who may feel pressure to mask their traits or conform to neurotypical norms. Acceptance and awareness are key—not only to creating equitable environments but to improving the well-being and performance of all employees.

After an educational presentation, a guided, simple somatic practice to help reduce stress will be offered. Somatic practices support nervous system regulation, helping us respond to stress with greater calm and clarity—something that benefits everyone, regardless of neurotype. You're warmly invited to join us for a thoughtful conversation about neurodiversity, the power of inclusion, and simple ways to support yourself in meeting stress with greater ease and resilience.
