August Luncheon- Planning for End of Life Care
Topic: Planning For End of Life Care
Speaker: Bailey Krause, Funeral Director and Assistant Manager
Description: Nobody wants to think about death. Especially not their own or their loved ones. However, it's truly important to think about and discuss end of life care with your family. Oftentimes, funeral planning is done during a time of great grief and stress, but thinking about these things ahead of time can alleviate some of that for yourself and your family.
I grew up in a small town north of Green Bay, WI. When I was 15 years old, I experienced my first death when a friend passed away. Awed by what the funeral director did in providing guidance and comfort during that time, I decided I, too, would one day be that for other families.
Following graduation from the University of Minnesota, I worked as a funeral director at a large funeral home in Milwaukee, WI. Looking for a change of pace and honoring my (now) husband's wishes of getting back to Montana, we moved to Bozeman in 2022. We now both work as funeral directors at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. In my free time, I love to be outdoors whether it's running, hiking, fishing, hunting, or exploring our national parks.
